Ashleigh

Jack
I really liked charging at the finishing line.

I liked it when I went up the ramp, I was excited to be doing the cross country. At the end I felt glad not to come last.
Samantha
The first lap was quite fun but when it came to the second lap it was quite hard especially with a broken arm.
Kai
At the finishI was puffed but um,I was proud of myself because I was in the top fifteen.
Jazmin
It was terrifying at the start because I did not know what place I would come.

Zac’s Interesting Weekend

On Sunday I would have played JUDO ground fighting with
Dad if Dad was not busy trying to demolish the kitchen and put in a new gib-board . I tried to ring-up all the boys in Room 21 to see if any of them wanted to come around to my house and play, but none of them answered the phone .
The rest of the day I sat in my bed-room listening to Harry Potter from Arlia’s iPod until Arlia came home and took the iPod from me. I did not care, and anyway it was low on battery, so I went to bed and eventually fell asleep.

Kirsten’s Diary
Sunday the 20th was a very wet rainy day and at 1:45
March 2011 a very big aftershock struck Christchurch, it was a
magnitude of 5.1. When the aftershock struck Kristen and I
rushed to a strong door way or tried to do the safe triangle of
life. Kristen was screaming and crying, we all got such a fright.
Lamps fall down, smash, smash! Cups broke, crash, crash! We were all so
scared afterwards we snuggled with Mum and had a good night
sleep.

Plus 3 Addition tables. We finally had our +3 test last week , these children scored 100%. Congratulations; Ashleigh, Brydie, Gemma, Jermaine, Kai, Sky and Stavros.

Next month Gina, Vigie and I are going to Australia. In Australia we are going to the Gold Coast with Tite, Ray and my cousins. We are also going camping, fishing, to Water World and Sea World and the theme parks. It is really exciting. It is going to be freaky and awesome because there are freaky spiders in Australia and Sea World is going to be awesome.

Homework

Spelling This week we have a competition to see who can find the most words with scr in them,

We will continue with the class talks , the children listed below need to bring a bag, this bag should contain items of importance which can be shared with the class; items might include: photos, toys, keepsakes, memorabilia, clothing etc. These talks will be held early each morning so you are welcome to stay and watch. A practice session at home the evening before the class sharing would help ensure they are more confident in front of their peers.
